Material Handler C
Position Objective
Facilitate the movement of raw materials, cardboard, chips and scrap for the Extrusion Department.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
- Compliance with company policies and safety guidelines.
- Become familiar with film, chip and corrugated codes.
- Must show basic familiarity with truck operations.
- Be able to properly complete a pre-shift truck inspection, as well as complete P.M. checklist daily.
- Know the proper placement of all finished product.
- Basic math skills to accurately order material needed for change-over's.
- Weight scrap gaylords at the end of the shift or at any change-over's.
- Understands the difference between A, B, Peco and Chep pallets
- Follows established procedures including standard operating procedures (SOP's), cGMP, food safety regulations, and safety procedures
- Subject to extreme heat, temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour
- Stooping/Bending
- Kneeling
- Standing for long periods of time
