What You Will Be Doing
- Cleaning classrooms, dormitories, offices, hallways, stairwells, entrances, windows, glass, vents, and other campus spaces (mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and routine floor care)
- Responding to daily needs such as spills, accidents and disinfecting affected areas
- Performing deep cleaning projects, including floor stripping and waxing
- Supporting special events with set-up, clean-up, and occasional extra hours
- Working safely by following all safety rules, using PPE appropriately, comply with BBP standards, using chemicals and equipment correctly and reporting hazards and submitting maintenance requests
- Learning new tools, methods, and equipment as needed
- Modeling positive behavior, communicating clearly, and collaborating with colleagues to maintain a warm, residential environment
- Performing additional duties as assigned
Your Background & Experience
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in housekeeping, laundry services, custodial work, or related roles preferred
- A demonstrated commitment to high-quality work and maintaining clean, welcoming spaces
And you can
- work safely with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and PPE, and to follow all safety rules—including BBP, legal, and defensive driving practices when required
- work independently with minimal direction and have a strong attention to detail
- lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; climb stairs and ladders; and walk on uneven surfaces
And you are:
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work the scheduled shift (Monday - Friday and the hours are 6 am - 2pm)
- Friendly, collegial, team-oriented with a sense of humor!
- Comfortable working in both warm and cold conditions
- Flexible to work some evenings, weekends, and overtime based on school needs
- A self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude
The salary range for this position is $18.00 -$21.00/hour. This range represents our good faith estimate for this position. We consider additional factors such as education, experience, skills as well the needs of the School at the time of the offer. All job offers are contingent upon the candidate’s successful completion of a background & fingerprint check, reference checks, and pre-employment screening, as applicable
