What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemical Plant Operator position at Trinity Manufacturing, Inc?
The general responsibilities for this position include adherence to standard operating procedures, recommendation of changes for improvement, and implements approved procedures. Operates valves, motors and pumps.
Reads gauges and meters – communicates the information observed, and takes appropriate actions as a result. Performs chemical analysis to verify quality of product. Makes adjustments to product as required based upon chemical analysis, and may be involved routine maintenance on valves, motors, pipes, and pumps. Troubleshoots operational problems and corrects the problem with available resources including the control room operator and/or supervisory staff. Follows all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Overtime required during periods of peak demand.
Required: High School diploma, one or more years of manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Valid Driver's License.
Associates degree in Engineering, Industrial Operations, or Maintenance a plus and can substitute for some work experience. Ability to run computerized equipment, operate forklift, work on elevated platforms and wear respirator. Work independently and apply initiative to improve operations performance.
