Overview
Trinity Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Fort Atkinson, WI is seeking an experienced Choir Director to lead our Senior Choir. The ideal candidate is a positive, organized leader who enjoys working collaboratively and fostering meaningful music in worship.
Primary Responsibilities
- Direct weekly choir rehearsals on Wednesday evenings (1 hour)
- Lead the choir during worship 3–4 Sundays each month
- Select and prepare choral music that supports the liturgical year and church calendar
- Coordinate with pastor, accompanist, and worship staff
- Support special worship services when needed (e.g., Advent/Christmas, Lent/Holy Week)
Qualifications
- Experience directing choral ensembles (church or community setting preferred)
- Strong rehearsal leadership and communication skills
- Good organizational and planning abilities
- Passion for church music and building community within the choir
Compensation & Schedule
- Monthly salary paid over 9 months: September–May
- Salary commensurate with experience
