Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Assistant Teacher to support our preschool classrooms. This role is ideal for someone who understands the importance of early learning through exploration, creativity, and routine. You’ll work closely with the Lead Teacher to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the classroom’s function under the guidance and direction of the Lead Teacher
- Assist with daily care routines, including diapering, potty training, mealtimes, naps, and transitions
- Help implement a play-based routine that includes music, art, movement, and story time
- Engage directly with children during play and learning activities—often getting down on the floor to connect with them
- Encourage curiosity, exploration, and age-appropriate problem solving
- Foster positive and respectful relationships with families and coworkers
- Communicate with families using our Brightwheel app, as directed by the Lead Teacher
- Demonstrate professional, responsible, and ethical behavior at all times
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Infant/Toddler Program Coordinator, Assistant Director, or Preschool Director
Qualifications:
- Preferred: Associate degree in early childhood education or related field
- Experienced: Candidates with relevant experience in preschool, infant, or toddler care are strongly encouraged to apply

- Ability to work well with a team and follow classroom routines
- Understanding of basic child development and a desire to grow professionally
