Position Title: Event Coordinator
Purpose: To assist with planning and execution of events taking place at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Classification: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Accountable to: Business Administrator
Qualifications: Demonstrable experience with events of varying sizes, purposes, etc.. Able to efficiently use technology, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and email. Knowledgeable in the use of printers, fax machine, copier, video projector, video recorder, sound systems, and more. Must have a positive attitude and great customer service skills. Ability to multi-task is essential. Flexible schedule required.
Hours: 15 hours per week,5-10 hours in office during standard business hours, 5-10 hours evenings and weekends as needed to coordinate events
Compensation: $20 per hour
Essential Functions:
- Timely, professional, and accurate internal and external communication with staff and renters, including but not limited to emails, phone calls, and meetings (both virtual and on site).
- Preparation and execution of events at various times throughout the week. Preparations may include moving of tables and chairs, programming door access, setting up microphones, and many other miscellaneous tasks.
- Obtain knowledge of Audio/Visual systems including projectors, TVs, sound systems, microphones, etc.
- Develop and maintain a standardized procedure and protocol for event reservations, pricing structure, and staff involvement such as making sure events are listed on the public calendar, assistance with set up, etc.
- Maintain flexible scheduling to ensure presence at events is prioritized as much as possible.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Able to multi-task and work under pressure and maintain composure. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to continuously use hands for simple and firm grasping, fine manipulation, and keyboarding. Occasionally the employee will be required to lift and carry 25-50 lbs, push, pull, squat, kneel, stoop, twist upper body, bend. Frequent verbal communication.
