McMullen Logistics, LLC is an authorized Freight Agent under Trinity Logistics, Inc. Trinity is ranked in the top 25 brokers in the country! We are searching for an EXPERIENCED Logistics Specialist to handle day to day operations for our existing customer base from their own home office working remotely but join our team in person from time to time as needed for training or business needs in Apollo Beach, FL.
A successful Logistics Specialist will create relationships with motor carrier partners to develop repeat and regular capacity while negotiating the best pricing possible for our shipping customers. The ways they will do this involve our best in class technology, carrier database, industry leading tools for pricing as well as their own natural curiosity and diligence to get the job done.
An average day will be checking on each shipment to ensure it's progressing on time, setting appointments using various websites and systems, trouble shooting, resolving problems while thinking on your feet, and entering shipment data and notes into our transportation management software. Experience is required so you understand a driver's ELD, hours of service, and how to shape our loads to make them desirable for drivers as well as successful for the customer date requirements. There is an on call rotation that involves some nights and weekends, and the job is not always 8-5, sometimes we are called to handle our customer needs outside of the standard business hours in order to be successful.

Career progression into Account Management/Sales is a natural career path with additional incentive potential and responsibility as you earn your own clients and develop a book of business for yourself. At first, you'll be working with existing account managers and running operations for their business as your confidence in rating, the market, and operations improves.
The role is $50,000 annually with potential to earn commission on loads booked after 90 days. We offer United Health Care for health insurance and PTO.
