TrinityRail Maintenance Services, Inc. is searching for a talented team player to fill the open position of Senior Valve Technician at our Shell Rock, IA office.
As a member of the Valve Technician team, you’ll perform maintenance, assessment, repair, and testing on various types of industrial valves.
What You’ll Do
· Disassemble, clean, inspect, measure, repair, assemble, and test various valves including safety valves, ball valves, gate valves, butterfly valves, BOVs, XS flow valves, and heater coils.
· Identify defects, replace components, and ensure repairs meet customer, QC, and ASME National Board standards.
· Perform leak, pressure, and functional testing using precision equipment.
· Accurately complete repair, calibration, and testing documentation.
· Read and follow drawings, schematics, and technical procedures.
· Travel to job sites as needed and comply with all safety requirements.
· Train others on valve repair standards and procedures.
What You’ll Need
· High School Diploma/GED and 2–5 years industrial valve repair experience.
· Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric actuators.
· Mechanical aptitude; able to use power tools, hand tools, and cutting torches.
· Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
· Ability to read drawings, tape measures, fractions, and decimals.
· Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
· Ability to interpret technical documentation and follow structured procedures.
