Hospice Volunteer Coordinator

Job Overview
The Manager of Volunteer Services plays a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant volunteer community that supports our organization's mission. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to recruit, train, and retain volunteers while ensuring they are effectively utilized in various programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for community service, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for volunteers to enhance their skills and engagement.
• Supervise and support volunteers to ensure effective volunteer management across all departments.
• Manage the recruitment process for volunteers, including community recruitment initiatives to attract new volunteers.
• Onboard new volunteers as necessary.
• Utilize social media platforms to promote volunteer opportunities and engage with the community.
• Oversee volunteer scheduling and placement to ensure optimal utilization of resources.
• Maintain accurate records of volunteer participation.
• Foster a positive environment that encourages volunteer feedback and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in volunteer management or related fields such as social work or community outreach.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse group of volunteers.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience in public speaking.
• Familiarity with training development processes and supervisory roles.
• Proficiency in social media management to effectively promote volunteer initiatives.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
