Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Offer companionship and emotional support while engaging clients in meaningful activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and cooking.
- Assist with mobility needs using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, including hospice care or memory care strategies.
- Observe patients for any changes in condition or behavior and report findings to healthcare professionals.
- Uphold patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care, caregiving, or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting and transferring clients safely.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
