Description:
Designs a comprehensive Art Across Campus program for leadership approval that reflects the high value placed on visual arts by the Glacier Hills Senior Living Community leadership team. Inventories all artworks on the GH campus. Helps select a new cataloging database and completes or oversees the data entry. Works closely with residents serving on art related committees. Works closely with Foundation in promoting and growing the Gifts of Art & Tangible Property
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Critical (highest priority; absolutely key to success on the job)
- Creates and coordinates the Art Across Campus program that promotes and reflects the value placed on visual arts by the Glacier Hills community.
- Inventories all artwork coming and going on the Glacier Hills campus and maintains up to date and accurate records in the database of artwork in common areas.
- Coordinates and articulates processes for accepting new inventory, and tracking/storing/moving inventory.
- Makes suggestions and designs concepts to display, feature, communicate, and celebrate the extensive works of art and collections on the Glacier Hills campus.
- Ensures interested residents are actively involved in helping, volunteers, serving on the committee to help guide and provide vision for the Art Across Campus program.
- Promotes Art Across Campus program, and assists with graphic design for Foundation publications, through electronic and print materials and in presentations.

- Develops connections with community members and organizations that help strengthen the GH program.
- Involves student interns and volunteers as appropriate.
- Reaches out to the GH art therapist and artists who conduct occasional classes on our campus.
- Researches best practices among other senior living communities that have active art programs and how they are organized.

Experience
Work or volunteer experience in art related fields such as practicing artist, museum studies or displays, art administration, non-profit management, or art galleries. Strong interest, involvement, or appreciation of visual arts. Highly organized. Ability to lead and participate as team member. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
