Job Summary
Assists Special Services Coordinator – Transportation (Dispatcher) with any duties related to the Transportation Department. This position requires adherence to the Rules and Regulations through the State of Ohio for Area Agency on Aging, Region 9 (AAA9).
Required Education and Experience
- MUST BE ABLE TO MULTI-TASK
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Ohio Driver's License
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and alcohol test
Training, Required Licensure and Certifications
- A neat appearance, friendly manner, patience in working with senior citizens, and an ability to communicate effectively over the phone.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Formulates and maintains various transportation schedules as needed
- Compiles and enters data into monthly reports
- Answers multiple phone lines and uses kindness when dealing with senior citizens
- Relays information and coordinates schedules for transportation drivers as needed
- Assists in providing dispatch information to drivers
- Assists in maintenance of client files and driver paperwork for AAA9 Audits
- Coordinates maintenance and repairs for fleet of transportation vehicles
- Assists in ensuring vehicle registrations are-up-to-date
- Formulates and maintains monthly van reports as needed
- Works with staff and the general public
- Other duties as assigned
