Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Inpatient Speech Language Pathologist to join our Inpatient Rehab at Mt Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital.
The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for performing evaluations, direct patient treatment, and documentation. This position is a broad opportunity for all aspects of Speech Language Pathology in a neuro specialized department including cognition, swallowing and language. Primarily treating brain injury and stroke as well as tracheostomy management and MBS training opportunities. SLP identifies appropriate long and short term goals and develops treatment plans to respond to those goals.

Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital is Connecticut's only freestanding acute care rehabilitation hospital and is the largest provider of these services in Connecticut. Its focus is to restore the lives of people following serious illness or injury through programs for traumatic brain injury, stroke/neurological rehabilitation, sports medicine, spinal cord injuries and orthopedics.

What Will You Do
- Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to individuals with a wide variety of communication and swallowing disabilities to help patients achieve a maximum level of functional independence.
- Provides professional interaction with patients, family members, interdisciplinary team members, and other staff members and colleagues Provides education and counseling to clients, families and staff.
- Documents patient care appropriately in the medical record to comply with the policies and procedures of the department,
- Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited program with a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- State of CT Speech-Language Pathology Licensure

- 2 Weekend days / month required.
