The Registered Nurse (RN) – Heart Failure at Saint Francis Hospital’s Hoffman Heart & Vascular Institute provides specialized, evidence‑based nursing care to adult patients experiencing acute and chronic heart failure, as well as complex cardiac and medical conditions. Practicing within a nationally recognized Heart Failure Center of Excellence, the RN delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care while working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team in a highly specialized cardiac care environment.

Position Purpose

What You Will Do
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and chronic heart failure across all disease stages
- Perform detailed cardiac and systemic assessments, including monitoring hemodynamics, fluid status, daily weights, symptoms, and telemetry
- Administer, manage, and evaluate cardiac and heart failure medications utilizing evidence‑based, nurse‑driven protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition to prevent clinical deterioration
- Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program.
- Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut.
- Certification: BLS (AHA/ARC).
- Education: BSN preferred.
- Experience: Acute care, Medical‑Surgical, telemetry, or cardiac nursing preferred.
- Certification: ACLS
- Part Time-24Hrs/Night Shift
- Every Other Weekend/Holiday
