What You Will Do
- Properly identifies patient per policy and performs venipuncture using standard/butterfly methods
- Labels all specimens following laboratory policy
- Receives/cancels/orders and processes laboratory/microbiology specimens
- Flexible to cover other sites when necessary
- 24 hours, Days
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of phlebotomy program
- Nat'l Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a blood draw station, ambulatory care or acute care setting.
- Knowledge in the use of information system
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to effectively work and communicate with patients, staff and outside providers
- Ability to take initiative and work alone
