Training is M-F 8-4:30 for 2-3 weeks which will include time in Springfield, MA in classrooms at Mercy Medical Center
Position Purpose
Completes patient registrations/pre-registration processes following department procedures using identified technology systems. Processes include obtaining accurate demographic, insurance and patient liability information. Responsible for working with multiple department/hospital and web-based systems.

What You Will Do
- Perform complete and accurate pre-registrations, registration, and admission functions
- Verify insurance requirements, obtain and understand insurance benefits
- Collect non-covered fees
- Ensure that all entries concerning demographic, financial and advanced directives are accurate
- Minimum High school or equivalent
- One year experience in an accredited hospital or physician's office preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances
- Full time 40hrs M-F days
