Position Purpose
At Saint Mary's Hospital, the Registered Nurse (RN) in the Main PACU delivers high-acuity post-operative care for patients recovering from complex surgeries performed in the Operating Room.
What You Will Do
- Provide high-acuity care for patients recovering from trauma, cardiovascular, neurological, and other critical surgeries.
- Manage Phase 1 and 2 recovery, ensuring safe emergence from anesthesia, stabilization, and transfer readiness.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and care teams to deliver advanced interventions and uphold perioperative standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Active RN license in the state of Connecticut.
- The ideal candidate will have one or more years of PACU experience supporting inpatient surgical recovery.
- BLS/CPR certification (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS and TNCC certification (support available post-hire)
- Proficiency in ASPAN standards and guidelines.
