Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center and a member of Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Crisis Clinician to join our team.
The Crisis Clinician / Social Worker / Therapist provides psycho-social services to adult, adolescent and child patients seen in the Emergency Department and Inpatient Behavioral Health at Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center. Conducts a comprehensive assessment to identify psychosocial problems which interfere with recovery from illness or prevent a healthy lifestyle. Provides consultation to other health care providers to assist in the management of psychosocial problems interfering with compliance with other treatment regimens.

- Performs assessments, provides support to patients and families and is a patient advocate to assure appropriate cares is received.
- evaluates patient safety and collaborates with the healthcare team to makes appropriate referrals for treatment.
- Effectively communicates with patients, families and the integrated clinical team to ensure everyone understands the needs of the patient to ensure a safe discharge plan is created.
- Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.
- Education: MSW degree from an accredited School of Social Work or Behavioral Health Field required.
- CT licensure in appropriate professional designation required , i.e. Clinical Social Worker, Psychologist, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Professional Counselor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, knowledge of community resources, social work theory and practice.

- Weekend coverage and days as needed
