Position Purpose
Performs a variety of duties in and around the buildings of the Hospital complex in an effort to maintain Plant Operations 24/7. Duties include repairs or reporting problems with machinery, systems and mechanical equipment, heating , ventilation equipment, air conditioning, refrigeration systems, kitchen equipment, PEVCO , Honeywell , and Fire Alarm Systems. Must be able to make timely decisions acting as Off Shift Supervisor for the Director of Engineering and the Manager of Engineering Services.

What You Will Do
- Assists in operating and maintaining all Hospital mechanical systems and equipment.
- Maintains commitment to personal growth and competency.
- Contributes to the safe operation of the Plant and Engineering Department.
- Contributes to the efficient operation of the department.
- Contributes to the effective operations of the Hospital by demonstrating dependability in job performance.
- Education: Two year apprenticeship or Equivalent
- Experience: 3-5 Years General mechanical experience
- Licensure: D-2 or S-2 License (preferred)
- Physical effort is required. Some lifting is involved. Work positions include standing, kneeling and climbing. Moderate stress encountered in emergency situations. Position requires ability to frequently push/pull/lift objects more than 100 lbs., perform difficult manipulative, gross body and hand-eye coordination skills; bend, walk, stand and sit for prolonged periods; see objects closely and hear normal sounds with some background noises.
- Precautions must be taken when working around equipment or troubleshooting systems. Employee may frequently be exposed to high, low and sudden fluctuations in temperature; grease and oil; bodily injuries; loud noises and high humidity or wetness.
