This role ensures patient safety and comfort through comprehensive assessment, hemodynamic monitoring, pre-procedure preparation, and administration of conscious sedation..
What You Will Do
- Support the cardiologist during cardiac procedures by handling instruments, monitoring patient vitals, and administering medications.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, obtaining consent, and providing post-procedure care instructions.
- Continuously monitor patient conditions and maintain accurate records of procedures and patient care.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Ideal candidates will have one or more years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab nursing.
- Candidates with two or more years of experience in Emergency Room or ICU nursing may be considered if they demonstrate expertise in ICU-level invasive monitoring (arterial lines, central lines), titrating vasoactive medications, and managing ventilators. Note: Training is not available for candidates without this expertise.
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- ACLS certification, support available for certification post-hire.
- Full-Time: 30 hrs/week – Day Shift
- Four 10-hour variant shifts with rotating weekends and holidays are required.
- On-call required, based on department needs.
