Position Purpose
The Lead Dietary Aide is responsible for critical kitchen operations for the hospital's Food & Nutrition department.
As An “Lead Dietary Aide” You Will
- Occasionally handles closing the kitchen at night and working morning shifts.
- Responsible for oversight of trayline accuracy
- Responsible for taking patient meal orders in the call center
- Completing daily temperature logs
- Printing and reviewing essential operational reports
- The position also entails support to the management team and colleague oversight, with supervisory functions, such as cash handling, register reconciliation, audits, scheduling, and HACCP compliance.
- This position acts in a supervisory capacity, in the absence of the retail management.
- This position plays a vital role in ensuring patient satisfaction and compliance with food safety standards.
- HS diploma or equivalency (preferred)
- 2 to 4 years of prior Dietary Aide/Food Service experience in a healthcare setting required
- Management experience preferred
