About the Job
This RN Nurse Externship is an excellent opportunity for students in their final year of a nursing program to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
- Work as a relief nurse extern in Med/Surg units with a minimum of 32 hours per month
- Participate in orientation, including theory-related procedures and skills validation
- Perform various clinical skills, such as Foley insertion, patient positioning, NG insertion, and vital signs
Requirements
To be eligible for this externship, candidates must:
- Be currently enrolled in their final year of an accredited RN or BSN program
- Have successfully completed the first year of nursing clinicals and skills validation through an accredited ADN nursing program
- Maintain current nursing knowledge and BLS certification
