Mammography Technologist
Department: Mammography
Location: Trinity Health Livonia and Livonia Medical Center
Shift: Day Shift (7:30 am - 4:00pm or 8:00 am - 4:30pm) No weekends

The mammography technologist will perform diagnostic imaging functions as described in the staff technologist job description. In addition, the mammography technologist will perform mammographic imaging and assume QA/QC responsibilities. The mammography technologist must be self-motivated, use independent judgement and be able to work with minimum supervision. The mammography technologist will perform diagnostic imaging functions as described in the staff technologist job description. In addition, the mammography technologist will perform mammographic imaging and assume QA/QC responsibilities. The mammography technologist must be self-motivated, use independent judgement and be able to work with minimum supervision. The mammography Technologist must be uniquely empathetic to high stress situations.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of a JCERT accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Registered Mammography Technologist by ARRT or registry-eligible and must achieve Mammography-certification within six months of hire
- Sterio tactic breast biopsy experience preferred
- Maintain Continuing Education credits (24 CEC in two year period) and other ARRT requirements
- Maintain 15 Continuing Education credits (CEC) in Mammography within a 3-year period.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as required by the hospital
