What You'll Do:
- Contact insurance companies and obtain authorization.
- Responsible for reviewing, submitting, monitoring and responding to issues regarding medication prior authorizations
- Performs data collection and data review as required
- Contacts insurance companies via appropriate methods and obtains medication authorizations
- Obtains urgent authorizations same day and next day.
- Support referrals, authorizations, and patient outreach activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
- EDUCATION: High School Diploma
- CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: None
- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1- 3 years’ previous related experience in pharmacy or equivalent medical setting and/or prior authorization experience.
