Role Description: Trinity Youth Counseling is a positive, one-on-one mental health service for young people. Our Youth Counselors work with program participants in the community, providing them with a variety of ways to work on and achieve their goals! Our client’s range in age from 5 to 25 and have experienced trauma, have mental health diagnoses, and/or experience developmental delays and disorders.
Once a Youth Counselor is matched with a client, they will plan activities to work on the client's goals in a fun and engaging way. You will provide transportation to and from their activities. And have direct communication with the child's caregiver. Lastly, after the session is completed, the Youth Counselor will document the session by providing key details about how their time was spent together.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation, a current and valid driver's license, and a satisfactory driving record
- Laptop with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Commitment to working 10-15 hours per week
- Ability to communicate with administrative staff routinely and within 24 hours
- One-year commitment to making a difference
