Trinity Episcopal Church is a joyful community of faithful people. Founded in 1747, it is one of the oldest Episcopal Churches in the Diocese of Massachusetts. Music is central to our worship, and we are proud of our historic organ. We are seeking a Minister of Music who loves God and music as much as we do.
This part-time position is to lead our music ministry. Responsibilities include selecting music in cooperation with the rector and playing for one weekly Sunday morning worship service and for several additional special services during the church year; leading weekly choir practice Sept-May; and offering support and encouragement to volunteer musicians and singers. The ideal candidate will be proficient on the organ, but we are also open to applications from musicians skilled in other instruments, such as piano.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with choir members and musicians
- Teaching experience to lead music rehearsals and workshops
- Ability to mentor and guide individuals in their musical development
- Strong organizational skills to manage music programs
- Background in music education or related field is preferred
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $250.00 - $325.00 per week
Expected hours: 10 per week
