Summary:
The Senior Electrical Engineer position is for a licensed professional with multiple areas of technical expertise. This role supports projects through bidding, performance, checking, and production/quality management duties related to medium and low voltage power distribution in industrial facilities. The Senior Electrical Engineer will collaborate closely with the project teams throughout the design, engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
Skills
- Strong understanding of Medium and Low Voltage power distribution in industrial facilities
- Experience with SKM or ETAP modeling software (strongly preferred)
- Power company negotiation skills (a strong plus)
- Extensive knowledge of low and medium voltage three-phase motor control equipment, including reduced voltage and variable frequency drives
- Recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) in multiple areas
- Experience in oil and gas treatment and processing (strong plus)
- Proficient in MS Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience/Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required (multiple state licenses preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry as an engineer
Operational Requirements:
- Willingness to travel 10-20% of the time
- Ability to work in hazardous industrial environments such as refineries, chemical plants, and gas processing facilities
