Overview
We are a growing general contractor specializing in multifamily, affordable housing, and commercial construction projects throughout California. We are looking for a highly organized and motivated Project Engineer to join our team and assist in the successful planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects.

As a key contributor, you will utilize your expertise in construction management software, scheduling, and cost control to drive project success while fostering a collaborative and safety-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Manage and track RFIs, submittals, ASIs, change orders, and project documentation.
- Maintain accurate project files using Procore.
- Prepare meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and follow-up action items.
- Coordinate and participate in Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings.
- Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP plans and specifications.
- Assist with subcontractor coordination and scheduling.
- Track project budgets, commitments, and cost reports.
- Prepare and update project logs and reports.
- Coordinate material procurement and deliveries.
- Monitor project schedules and identify potential delays.
- Communicate with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and field personnel.
- Support project closeout by collecting warranties, O&M manuals, and as-built documents.
Experience
- Required
- 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager in commercial or multifamily construction.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans.
- Experience with Procore.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Experience with affordable housing or multifamily construction.
- Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
- Knowledge of CSI divisions and construction documentation.
- Experience preparing pay applications and change orders.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
