Role Description
Trinity Community Church seeks a ministry assistant to work 8-10 hours per week fulfilling weekly, monthly, and as needed tasks in support of the church and the pastor. This can be done in person or hybrid. This individual reports to the pastor. Tasks involve three areas: Publications, Purchasing, and Social Media. Pay is based on work experience and skill set. (Approx. $17-20/hour)
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including verbal, written, and interpersonal abilities
- High School Diploma required. College Degree Preferred. Must have 2 years of work experience, Needs familiarity with Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Slides. Familiarity with posting to Facebook, Linked In, and YouTube. Good computer skills. Must undergo a background check. Must be in agreement with our church’s statement of faith.
Publications & Calendar-
- Drafting, editing, and printing weekly bulletin in preparation for Sunday Morning in coordination with the pastor. (Currently using Google Drive & Google Slides to edit)
- Drafting, editing, and printing monthly Church Calendar and Newsletter in coordination with the pastor- distributed first week of the month. (Currently using Google Drive & Google Slides)
- Maintain and Update ChurchTrac Database online; print reports or directories as requested. (ChurchTrac is our current calendar and database platform- cloud based)
- Set up and collect RSVP’s for church events through ChurchTrac Registrations
- Update the TCC ChurchConnect App, which is used in conjunction with ChurchTrac. This can be done on computer or mobile.
- Manage inquiries to church administrative email. Send out email reminders to the church email list as requested.
- For church volunteers who apply, enter necessary information into an online portal for background checks. (Protect My Ministry)
Purchasing-
- Coordinate with Senior Pastor in purchasing necessary office supplies, printer cartridges, kitchen supplies, and other miscellaneous items (majority online: Quill, Amazon, etc.)
Website & Social Media-
- Post items on TCC Website through Wordpress platform as requested.
- Post weekly or bi weekly on TCC Facebook page or Instagram - Bible Verses & Graphics, Devotions or articles of interest, pictures from church events.
- Post short videos on TCC YouTube channel- member interviews, church events. Design posts or flyers for church events or services; familiarity with Canva helpful.
