Newsroom Editor/Instructor Salary range: 75k to 90k (Salary determination is based on experience)Trinity Washington University invites applications for the position of Newsroom Editor/Instructor in the Center for Journalism, Media & Communication. This full-time staff role located in Washington, D.C. with teaching responsibilities supports student journalists and multimedia content producers in Trinity's newsroom and media studio. The ideal candidate will be a passionate media professional with experience producing and editing content across platforms, and a strong commitment to mentoring emerging storytellers.Trinity is the nation’s oldest Catholic women’s college, now a university with several coeducational units but sustaining its full-time daytime women’s college. Trinity today enrolls a majority of Black and Hispanic students in undergraduate, graduate, certificate and dual enrollment programs. 95% of the student are female; 50% are residents of the District of Columbia, and most Trinity graduates reside in the greater Washington region. The successful candidate must demonstrate clear expertise and enthusiasm for promoting Trinity’s historic commitments to women and a broadly diverse population of students and graduates.Key Responsibilities:Mentor and supervise students producing content for the student news organization Trinity Times in multiple formats: articles, photography, video and podcasts.
