Middle School Spanish Teacher

The Middle School Spanish Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based Spanish language instruction to students in grades 6–8 while supporting the mission of Trinity Catholic Academy in Brockton, MA. The teacher fosters a faith-centered, inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic excellence, cultural awareness, and the development of the whole child—spiritually, intellectually, and socially. Key Responsibilities include: Instruction & Curriculum - Plan and deliver rigorous, developmentally appropriate Spanish lessons - Develop students’ proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish. - Integrate cultural studies of Spanish-speaking countries to build global awareness and appreciation. - Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs, including differentiated instruction. Assessment & Student Growth - Design and implement formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress. - Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and families. - Use data to inform instruction and support student achievement. Catholic Identity & School Mission - Uphold and model Catholic values in all interactions. - Incorporate elements of faith, service, and social justice consistent with Catholic teachings. - Participate in school liturgies, prayer services, and community-building activities. Classroom Environment - Establish a safe, respectful, and structured classroom rooted in positive behavior support. - Promote student engagement, accountability, and collaboration. - Support the social-emotional development of middle school students. Collaboration & Communication - Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary initiatives and curriculum development. - Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs. - Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
