What You'll Be Doing
- Performs sanitation duties according to the SQF master sanitation schedule.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and polishes floors.
- Scrubs floors throughout the warehouse using ride on floor scrubber.
- Cleans in and around the warehouse, including packaging equipment/machinery.
- Maintains clean and organized break room, restrooms, and offices.
- Restock restrooms and break rooms with necessary supplies.
- Ensures outside building area is clean and free of garbage/litter.
- Use required chemicals safely and responsibly, only for the intended use.
- Performs sanitation tasks in a timely manner per sanitation schedules.
- Removes and empties recycle bins into the appropriate waste container using a Forklift.
- Organizes and sorts broken pallets using a forklift.
- Sorts and separates recyclables according to established guidelines and disposal requirements.
- Handles disposal of recyclables when needed.
- Cleans product spillage inside rail receiving pit according to schedule
- Communicates with management and other maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs.
- Complies with company safety policies and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures, including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms.
- Maintain inventory for supplies, Cleaning equipment and Chemicals.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Education and Formal Training
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year minimum of forklift experience, forklift certified a plus
- Effectively communicate questions, problems, and reports to co-workers, supervisory and management personnel
- Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed
- Experience operating forklift and ride-on floor scrubber
- Must display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of personnel, whether individually or in a team environment.
