Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe position of Assistant Coach for Cross Country/Track and Field will report to the head coaches for track and field and cross country. This position assists with various aspects of helping to build nationally ranked men’s and women’s teams. Ideal candidates will have experience, or are open to, coaching the long jump, triple jump, and high jump, and/or middle and long distance. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement training plans for various event groups in track and cross country.
- Identifying and recruiting potential student/athletes for track and cross country
- Assisting in the development of a positive team culture
- Home meet management
- Travel with the team and may need to make travel decisions while on the road
- Manage social media presence regarding both the track and cross country teams
- Other duties as assigned
