2nd Shift Position
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and tear down Automatic Presses ton)
- Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks per specification to run job orders accurately and maximize productivity
- Perform first piece quality inspection
- Record all data needed for inventory control including: good parts, scrap, and other data as necessary
- Monitor and notify supervisors of machine wear or damage for preventative maintenance
- Meet established production criteria
- Troubleshoot and make needed adjustments to equipment for problem resolution
- Perform rework or sorting as required
- Maintain safe operations be adhering to safety procedures, regulations, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years' press experience
- Good attendance
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic Math skills
- Familiarity with PLS Controls and Servo Feeds and Servo Presses
- Complete background in press working including: Single and Continuous strokes, Emergency Stops, Die Protection, PLS, Ram Adjustments, Die Clamping, Pilot Releases, Cradle Functions, Selection of Materials and Safety Procedures.
- Knowledge of basic tools including: Micrometers Calipers, and other precision measuring tools
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift to 40 pounds at times.
Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and climb as necessary.
Visual acuity to read instructions, micrometers and inspect parts produced.
