Trimline Landscape Management is hiring a Lawn Mowing Crew Member to join a residential and commercial grounds maintenance crew in the greater Rochester area. You'll work side by side with a Crew Leader every day, learning the trade hands-on while helping deliver sharp, consistent results across every property on the route. This is a great fit for someone who's dependable, works well with a team, and wants to build real skills with power equipment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work closely with the Crew Leader to deliver quality work at each property per contract specs
- Take on-the-job training in safety, equipment technique, and best practices
- Perform mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, and seasonal cleanups on established lawns
- Communicate with customers professionally and courteously
- Use all required personal protective equipment
- Flag property or equipment damage and improvement needs to the Crew Leader
- Help with basic equipment maintenance and minor repairs
- Assist with snow removal during the winter season
- Take on additional duties as assigned by management
DAILY AND WEEKLY TASKS
- Report on time, ready to work, in proper attire
- Help navigate to job sites as needed
- Fuel equipment, spool trimmer line, replace chainsaw chains, fill bar oil throughout the day
- Unload equipment and materials at the end of each day
- Sort and stack debris and used materials
- Clean out the truck and trailer, removing trash and debris
- Blow off equipment and return it to storage
- Write up any equipment needing repair or maintenance
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-3 years of landscape-related experience preferred.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team
- Good communication skills with crew, supervisors, and clients
- Sound judgment and strong attention to detail
- Solid understanding of power equipment and how it operates
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Must be at least 18 years old
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
