The Vice President, Commercial Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company and ensuring efficiency, productivity, and quality across multiple departments. This role is responsible for end-to-end operational leadership of TriMed’s Valencia site, driving performance across inventory & materials management, customer service, contracts & pricing, IT & analytics, and operational quality/regulatory compliance. Accountable for aligning day-to-day operations with enterprise strategy, delivering on service level commitments, optimizing cost structure, and ensuring compliance with global medical device regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide executive leadership of day-to-day global operations for the extremities orthopedics business, spanning supply chain, customer service, contracts, IT, and regulatory compliance.
- Drive operational excellence through standardized SOPs, robust KPIs, and cross-functional scorecards to optimize performance and scalability.
- Build and cultivate a high-performance culture that attracts, develops, and retains top talent, with emphasis on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee global inventory, procurement, supply chain, and logistics to ensure availability of implants/instruments while optimizing COGS, asset utilization, and supplier partnerships.
- Direct loaner set strategy, lifecycle management, and deployment to maximize salesforce effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
- Champion customer-centric operations, including order-to-cash, pricing transparency, and voice-of-customer initiatives to strengthen distributor and healthcare provider relationships.
- Govern enterprise contract and pricing management across IDNs, GPOs, and direct accounts, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy, compliance, and profitability.
- Provide executive oversight of IT systems, ERP infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data analytics; advance automation and digital tools to enable data-driven decision making.
- Partner with Finance to manage operational budgets, approve expenditures, and ensure financial discipline while enabling global revenue growth.
- Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory Affairs to ensure compliance with FDA, MDSAP, ISO, OSHA, and global frameworks; lead inspection readiness and risk mitigation efforts.
- Embed a culture of quality and operational excellence across processes including receiving/inspection, product compliance, and non-conforming material management.
- Lead integrated business planning processes to align supply and demand, mitigate risks, and support global commercial competitiveness.
- Lead strategic M&A due diligence efforts, ensuring seamless integration of operational and product functions.
- Drive special projects and cross-functional initiatives as required to advance strategic priorities and business growth.
- Performs other duties and supports special projects as needed
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Strong working knowledge of operations within a Medtech (preferably orthopedics) business.
- Experience in an Orthpedics
- Command of financial statements
- Experience managing RAQA compliance across multiple functions
- Experience managing Operations in a manufacturing business and working directly with multiple contract manufacturers

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 12 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; 7 or more years of management experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
The posted range for this position is $165,284 - $227,267 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
