We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Survey CAD drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in converting field data into detailed CAD drawings, working closely with surveyors and engineers to produce precise and reliable maps and plans. As well as taking engineer’s designs and preparing them for construction stakeout. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and convert field data into accurate CAD drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other CAD software.
- Interpret survey field notes, sketches, and data to create detailed maps and plans.
- Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
- Maintain and organize digital files and project documentation.
- Perform quality control checks on all drawings to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
- Assist in the preparation of survey reports and other documentation as needed.
- Process and convert engineer’s CAD files into survey stakeout drawings.
- Compute a wide range of requested construction stakeout needs.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in CAD Technology, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience. (Preferred)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center or other relevant CAD software.
- Experience with survey data processing and CAD drawing creation. (Preferred)
- Strong understanding of surveying principles, practices, and terminology. (Preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret survey field notes, sketches, and data.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Vaid PA driver’s license.
- Knowledge in preparation of 3D models used for Machine Control (Preferred but Optional)
- Experience with GIS software and applications. (Preferred)
- Knowledge of land surveying and civil engineering practices. (Preferred)

Base Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
