As our Operations Manager, you’ll play a key role in supervising our yard operations, which involve sorting materials, loading, operating equipment, and managing truck flow. Your main goal will be to ensure a safe, efficient, and productive environment for everyone on site. This isn’t just a desk job; we’re searching for someone who enjoys collaboration and can dive right in with the team to resolve challenges and keep everything running smoothly.
**Your Responsibilities Will Include:**
Leading daily operations, supervising all aspects of loading/unloading, sorting, and equipment use.
Reducing downtime and ensuring a swift turnaround for incoming and outgoing trucks.
Supporting and guiding yard employees, including drivers, operators, sorters, and laborers.
Upholding safety standards by ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company protocols.
Performing regular equipment inspections and coordinating maintenance to keep everything in tip-top shape.
Collaborating closely with the Managers to address performance, challenges, and growth opportunities.
Operating equipment as needed, such as forklifts, skid steers, material handlers, and yard trucks.
Helping to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient site for everyone!
**Supervisory Responsibilities:**
This role requires strong leadership and coaching skills, as you'll directly supervise a passionate team of Leads, Drivers, Equipment Operators, Maintenance Mechanics, Sorters, and Operational Support—empowering them to perform at their best!

Experience:
2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
Experience operating heavy equipment (forklift, skid steer, loader) strongly preferred.
Skills:
Strong team leadership and communication skills.
Mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial equipment.
Ability to problem-solve and make quick decisions in a busy environment.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Technical or trade school is a plus, but not required.
Typical Physical Demands:
Ability to operate office equipment used as needed.
Ability to organize various office systems/stations through adjusting, connecting, lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, or folding for the purpose of proper records development, office functions, and/or management.
Ability to use a computer and related devices, such as a keyboard, mouse, or other related equipment, throughout the workday while seated at a desk or workstation.
Ability to climb ladders, bend, stoop, or stand for long periods of time. In addition, individuals must be able to reach above their shoulders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
