Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers while utilizing personal safety equipment.
- Move trucks and trailers in and out of the shop for maintenance.
- Open repair orders and charge the appropriate parts to the repair order.
- Perform tire inspections and submit reports indicating the condition of equipment.
- Inspect and maintain basic vehicle/accessorial worthiness, including proper fuel levels and tire air pressure, fluid levels, brakes, lights, and safety equipment.
- Comprehend and perform the Driver Vehicle Inspection Repair (DVIR) process.
- Diagnose and repair various systems, including tires, brakes, electrical systems, and more.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of verifiable diesel mechanic experience.
- Previous experience with all types and makes of tractors/trailers and heavy-duty diesel trucks.
- The ability to provide own tools commensurate with experience.
- Basic computer skills.

Salary : $25 - $35
