Pay Details

$22. 00 per hour ( based on experience)

Schedule

• Monday to Friday 7:00 am -3:00 pm

Job Details

• Responsible Monday to Friday 7:00am -3:00pm for loading, unloading, and stacking shipping line containers off of trucks

Responsibilities

• Operate reach stacker to lift containers from truck chassis according to movement requirements daily
• Ensure yards are maintained to provide optimal performance
• Inspect equipment for any visual possible damage
• Inspect equipment at beginning of shift to ensure that it is operating properly
• Identify and report any safety problems, malfunctions, or damage to yard handling equipment, before, during or after the shift
• Follow safe operating procedures and instructions, preventing any injury to people, or damage to containers and other equipment and property
• Complete container handler or lift truck inspection sheet
• Complete daily inventory report
• Interpret and complete paperwork associated with the unloading of trailers
• Possesses and demonstrates the ability to perform assigned tasks in a manner that adheres to company Safety, Health, Environmental and Security policies
• Performs other related work/duties as required

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license

• Must have 2-3 years' experience as a reach stacker operator

• A valid reach stacker training from a recognized training provider is required or relevant experience

• Proficiency in the operation of a Loaded lift, up to 50,000 pounds (23,000 kg) capacity is an asset• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather and environmental conditions, with heavy equipment, and exposure to dust, pollen, noise and vibrations• Ability to Frequently climb and balance, gripping handholds while working at heights of 4-8 feet (1-2 meters) off the ground• High school diploma or equivalent General Education Diploma (GED)• Ability to lift approximately 20 lbs. repetitively and safety• Good hand-eye coordination and visual acuity• Ability to follow instructions and work independently• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment• Ability to read and comprehend standard procedures and practices• Basic computer skills• Must be able to work on uneven and/or slippery surfaces• Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral and depth perception

Pay Range

Salary : $20 - $22
