Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks.
- Install doors, cabinetry, trim, and other woodwork with precision and care.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for woodworking safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Measure accurately using tape measures and levels; perform heavy lifting to handle large or bulky materials.
- Fabricate custom wood components using woodworking machines; ensure quality control throughout the process.
Qualifications
- Experience in residential carpentry, finish carpentry, or related construction fields.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers; power tools including drills, sanders, nail guns for woodworking.
- Familiarity working from construction plans.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to power tool use and construction site safety practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks consistently.
- Experience with various construction materials including wood, metal studs, siding materials, drywall compounds, and water-resistant products.
