DRMP is looking for experienced (mid-level) Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Technicians to join our Boca Raton Survey Office! With opportunities for continued advancement, this position will allow you to further develop your skills in the industry to promote your career to the next level!
Your Primary Responsibilities will include
- Obtain a clear understanding of ASCE 38-02 standards and Quality Levels and their applications
- Provide underground utility flagging “designation” with proficiency, utilizing ground penetrating radar and electromagnet equipment and other geophysical means.
- Designate all utility line types of conductive or non-conductive materials including water, sewer, gas, electric, fiber optic, PVC, and all other underground facilities that would affect excavation of a site
- Mark said utilities with flags and / or paint and produce a sketch of results for future use by the client.
- Operate vacuum excavation truck and other related equipment or “hand dig” to verify utility characteristics.
- Assist with maintenance of vehicles / trucks, equipment, and work sites.
- Research all utilities that may be on a site prior to entering the site.
- Exercise extreme caution near or around any utility facility and follow all applicable job site safety pa
