Naik Consulting Group is currently seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer. We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering electrical design services for New York City based projects, specifically in public sector work, but commercial and industrial experience is valued as well. The role involves preparing design drawings, performing power and lighting calculations, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure code-compliant and high-quality designs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Prepare construction documents, specifications, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Perform load calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection in compliance with applicable codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, etc.).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, structural, architectural) to ensure project integration and design consistency.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and field coordination as required.
• Assist in cost estimating, project scheduling, and technical reviews.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and drafters as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 3-6 years of professional electrical design experience
• EIT required; PE license preferred
• Proven experience working with NYC agencies and clients
• Strong knowledge of NYC Electrical Code and related standards
• Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency in Bluebeam
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
