In your role, design will complement teaching. You will drive literacy outcomes in classrooms while developing a scalable reading program for multiple campuses. Lead dynamic, tech-integrated workshops, inspire young readers with strategic motivational tactics, and collaborate with engineers to enhance the tools that fuel our model.

What You Will Be Doing

• Conduct adaptive reading workshops focusing on foundational skills such as phonics, comprehension, and fluency
• Create personalized motivational sessions to boost engagement through gamified literacy achievements
• Analyze student progress data to refine teaching methods and uncover actionable insights
• Collaborate with the tech team to assess and enhance AI literacy tools based on classroom outcomes

Literacy Coach Key Responsibilities

Create a scalable, AI-enhanced reading program that empowers early elementary students to reach grade-level proficiency and develop a lifelong passion for reading.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in delivering small-group reading interventions to early elementary students
• Expertise in assessing reading levels, grouping students, and crafting differentiated instruction without relying on pre-written curricula
• Proficiency with AI/adaptive learning tools and the ability to respond to student interactions within them
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Commitment to working onsite at one of our campuses: Lake Forest, CA; San Francisco, CA; Miami, FL; or New York City, NY

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $60 USD/hour, which equates to $120,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
