Position Overview

Position Overview
The Michigan Medication Technician provides and is responsible for assisting in the administering of medications and providing activities of daily living to residents in Assisted Living, at the direction of the Director of Nursing.
Key Responsibilities
- Administers medications to residents following the policies and procedures governing the Assisted Living and AL Memory Care Centers.
- Follows and adheres to the Five Rights of Medication Administration within the scope of the Medication Technician.
- Performs medication charting as directed by the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
- Provides care to residents within the scope of the Medication Technician in Assisted Living and Memory Care AL centers.
- High School Diploma or GED/HSE preferred
- 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Successful completion of AFC/HFA Medication Administration Course.
- Valid CPR certification
