The Director of Environmental services is responsible for overseeing and managing the environmental services department in various settings such as healthcare facilities.  

Key Responsibilities

• Leads the Environmental Services Staff and communicates daily expectations, including daily tasks and workload.
• Trains Environmental Staff on first impressions, cleaning procedures, resident engagement, chemical and equipment use, and laundry procedures.
• Maintains and directs Environmental Staff with daily responsibilities such as laundry, carpet, room cleaning, as well as clinical and sales needs.
• Creates the schedule for Environmental Staff.
• Conducts daily facility assessments to determine daily Environmental Staff workload, priority, and needs.
• Reviews monthly budget and places orders for equipment and supplies as necessary or as may be required.
• Cleans and maintains equipment, work areas, and storage.
• Investigates complaints about service and equipment and takes corrective action to meet company standard.

Qualifications  

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred
