Position Overview
The Early Head Start Teacher creates a nurturing classroom environment where young children can explore, learn, and thrive. Our ideal candidate is energetic, flexible, and enthusiastic, with a passion for helping little learners reach key developmental milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement interactive, age-appropriate lessons using music, movement, dramatic play, and sensory exploration.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment that supports social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Engage children through dynamic, hands-on activities that promote curiosity and discovery.
- Collaborate with families, colleagues, and administrators to support each child’s development.
- Promote creativity, patience, and playfulness in daily interactions.
Qualifications
- Experience working with infants and toddlers (ages 0–3) preferred.
- Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Comfort with dramatic play, music, puppets, and active teaching methods.
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for children are essential.
