Programming & Events Manager
Position Summary
Trillium is seeking a dynamic and organized Programming and Events Manager to join our team! In this position, you will play a key role in designing, coordinating, and executing a diverse calendar of events and community programming. This role is primarily based at Trillium’s Canton location with occasional travel to other locations. You will be expected to deliver high-quality experiences to our guests and ensure that every activation best represents the Trillium brand within budget. Exceptional organizational skills, creativity, and a strong understanding of event logistics are a must.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Inspire a passionate team culture in support of consistent execution of Trillium’s programming goals.
- Maintain and grow a comprehensive events calendar that drives foot traffic and aligns with cross-functional team initiatives.
- Provide positive, actionable solutions when faced with complex event logistics or scheduling challenges.
- Ensure that Handbook policies, procedures and standards are maintained and followed in a consistent and fair manner.
- Direct work for employees including setting hours and weekly schedules and assigning tasks before, during, and after open hours of the restaurant.
- Lead, inspire, and educate restaurant staff to achieve their defined goals and results, consistently monitoring performance and ensuring event execution.
- Monitor the market, consumer behavior and interests, and creatively suggest and actively solicit new programs and activations that build brand and revenue.
- Support restaurant management and operations, as needed, to develop guest experiences and drive sales by getting to know the customer base.
Event Execution & Customer Service
- Ensure customer satisfaction by establishing standards of service that align with Trillium hospitality expectations during all live events and private functions.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to drive awareness, participation, and ticketing efforts.
- Analyze guest feedback and event performance metrics to continuously improve the programming experience.
- Promptly respond to programming inquiries via email, phone, and in-person to secure bookings and partnerships.
- Coordinate with vendors, performers, and internal staff to ensure seamless day-of execution, creating detailed, actionable plans.
Administration & Operations
- Create and manage event budgets, reporting on a fiscal calendar on performance versus budget, using KPIs and standard metrics to support recommendations for continued growth and improvement of event operations.
- Train staff on proper event execution; maintain SOPs and other event related guides and materials.
- Maintain online event calendars, location signage, and other core promotional and awareness materials with support of marketing.
- Schedule necessary equipment maintenance or rentals with the Facilities Manager via work orders.
- Oversee health and safety compliance for all on-site activations.
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
Desired Qualifications & Abilities
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in event management, programming, or hospitality leadership.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale public events and private functions.
- Demonstrated success in process improvement and initiative.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work independently, as well as lead and motivate event staff.
- Organized and efficient with great attention to detail regarding event timelines and technical requirements.
- Exceptional guest service skills and a collaborative presence with the Food and Beverage team.
- Ability to remain calm under the pressure of live events and communicate clearly with vendors and staff.
- Proficiency in Google Business Suite or equivalent, web based applications to include AI and research tools.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule, including frequent weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds with assistance.
- Follow appropriate procedures for serving alcohol (e.g., TIPSs (Training for Intervention Procedures).
- Analytical skills and a solid understanding of business management practices and strategies.
