The Role

Trillium Labs is looking for a Web Developer with strong JavaScript and Node.js experience to help evolve our suite of trading and analytics applications. This full stack position is ideal for an individual who enjoys solving complex frontend and backend problems, is passionate about modern software practices, and wants to work on systems that directly impact a real-time trading business.

• You are an experienced Web Developer who is excited about building fast, robust, and user-friendly applications for complex financial systems. You’re eager to work across the stack from RESTful APIs to React interfaces. Motivated by a culture of continuous improvement and deep collaboration, you’re well-versed in JavaScript/Node.js and comfortable contributing to both frontend and backend layers.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop full-stack web applications with a focus on performance, accuracy, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with traders, engineers, and product owners to deliver impactful features and enhancements.
• Own and maintain backend services in Node.js, including APIs, microservices, cronjobs, and automation scripts.
• Build responsive and dynamic user interfaces using React, HTML, and CSS.
• Ensure smooth deployments/updates through modern CI/CD practices and infrastructure as code.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture planning.
• Investigate and resolve bugs, performance issues, and production incidents.
• Proactive monitoring of systems and applications
• Creating technical documents for newly created software
  
  

Skills and Qualifications

• College graduate (min GPA 3.3) with a major in Computer Science or STEM discipline
• 3 years of experience as a Full Stack Web Developer
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js
• Proficiency in React, HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
• Familiarity with Python and its ecosystem for automation and backend scripting
• A demonstrable passion for building technology solutions
• Familiarity with software development concepts, algorithms, and data structures
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with Agile development technologies
• Familiarity with modern coding workflows
  
  

What sets you apart

• Experience writing real-time applications
• Familiarity with Tomcat/Java, especially for legacy system support
• Leveraging AI to enhance frameworks for analytical workflows and system usability
• CI/CD pipelines configured via GitHub Actions and custom deployment tools
• Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation
  
  

Location: This is a hybrid-role based in NYC

Compensation and Perks

• The reasonably estimated salary for this role is $110,000 – $140,000 Additional Bonus if applicable. Actual compensation is based on a number of factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
