Job Title: Day Treatment Skills Trainer
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Starting Pay: $21.00 per hour
Position Summary
The Day Treatment Skills Trainer works under the direct supervision of the Day Treatment Skills Trainer Supervisor to support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of skills-based therapeutic services for school-aged youth enrolled in the day treatment program. This position plays a key role in helping clients achieve treatment goals through evidence-based interventions, academic support, and skills training in a structured classroom environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide education, direction, modeling, and skills training to assist clients in meeting individualized treatment goals
Implement identified evidence-based therapeutic interventions with fidelity
Assist with academic instruction and support within a classroom-based day treatment setting
Provide emotional support, leadership, structure, and guidance to all clients
Deliver trauma-informed care and maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment
Supervise clients in the Day Treatment Center and ensure adherence to program expectations
Consult and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, agency personnel, and family members regarding client needs and progress
Implement treatment programming as part of a multidisciplinary team of professionals
Accurately document services and client progress as required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to work effectively with school-aged youth with behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs
Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to provide consistent structure, positive role modeling, and therapeutic support
Understanding of trauma-informed care principles
Ability to follow program guidelines while exercising sound judgment and professionalism
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required, post-secondary education in human services, psychology, education, or a related field preferred
Experience working with children or adolescents in a therapeutic, educational, or behavioral health setting preferred
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
